Lee is confined to a wheelchair but successfully races a 250cc gearbox class kart so there`s the gear changes to operate as well as hand controlled throttle and brake!
I had a rather nasty motorcycle accident and sustained a Brachial Plexus injury which resulted in my right arm being paralysed.
There was no hope of ever being able to use this arm again, so I took the decision to have it amputated. After my accident I looked at karting as a possible alternative to bike racing.

As a wheelchair user with a condition of Spinal Muscular Atrophy.
I somehow managed to squeeze through the system and obtained an RAC British Competition Racing Licence and competed in 100cc kart racing for 6 years against able-bodied people.
